I have a Denon 2800 and I have used the "0160" denon component #. I can now turn it on/off, volume, etc. BUT there is not button to switch to DVD? The number buttons do all the other inputs but not DVD. Key numbers #3 and #8 are free and don't do anything but when I try to learn them from my Denon remote- nothing happens, they don't work, just one red flash.

Are there any more advanced codes for Denons???

Also, I can't get it to control my Sony tape player. Help!

There may be an advanced code that will access your DVD. The DVD code was missing from my SONY receiver too, but ONE4ALL replied (after about a week) with a list of advanced codes that did include the DVD. Look on the back of your remote, and send an email to the address listed there. You might also search previous messages here, because I'm sure I saw a link to another site that listed advanced codes for several devices.

As for learning, be sure you input the sequence properly. It took me several tried before I realized I was entering keys wrong for learning. Keep trying.

Tape player? Yep, that happens sometimes. You're sure the tape player CAN be remote controller, aren't you?
