This is my first try at this. I just purchased my first universal remote. Luckily most of my other stuff works pretty much everything it needs to. But my Sony 30ES receiver has far to many things not operating. I was hoping one of you more knowledgeable folks could help me out with this? I have the One for All Cinema 7 (7800)and it seems the remote that came with it (The 30ES) is not very good at teaching it's codes.

Can you post what functions you can't learn. I'm guesing it is one of the switching functions. Possibly you have also run out of learning memory. Are you using 0158 with the Sony receiver, you could also try some of the advanced functions too.
