Hi folks;

Does anyone know of a $100.00 or less universal remote
that will control the Echostar / Dish Network Dishplayer 7100 (web tv box)?

I have a URC 8080 and it doesn't work. I bought a URC 9800 and it doesn't work. I'm waiting on a email reply back from UEIC but not holding much hope.

I've gone thru 4 radio shack remotes this weekend.

I have a Pronto. I know that will work. But it's in
the living room. I'm trying to find a suitable replacement remote for the bedroom. I need to control a Magnavox TV, Panasonic VCR, the dishplayer, and a AKAI AAV335 reciever. Just about every remote i've tried has worked on the tv and vcr. Most of them work with the AKAI reciver. None of them have worked with
the Dishplayer. I refused to go to a 4th remote in the bedroom . There's gotta be something out there besides another 300 / 400 dollar remote?

Thanks in advance.

Craig

Hey Craig,
Don't give up on your Producer 8 remotes so quickly, the code you need is 1005, but it needs to be added. Send the remote into the address in your manual and they will add it for you.

Then, use the advanced codes on my site to make the key mapping meet your needs.

Thanks for the info Rob. I did see you and your site mentioned in other threads. I think the 9800 is going back to the store. If the 8080 can be upgraded, it might be worth sending it in. I'm hoping to hear back from ueic in the next couple of days.

I also may pick up a RS 15-1994 in the mean time and see if that works.

Thanks for the help.

The 15-1994 is a killer remote, but it doesn't have the 1005 code pre-loaded, and although the remote is upgradeable in theory, because it is a Radio Shack remote and not a One For All remote, at this time there is no way to have it upgraded.

I am hoping that people will start writing to Radio Shack urging them to start an upgrade program.

Anyone have the setup code for DishPlayer 7200 using the One For All 7 remote?

I have a 15-1935 that did work, but I bought a discontinued Yamaha DSP-A1. I called the 800 number and discovered the 1935 does not work with the A1.

So I just bought the One For All and it does work (but I have to use the AUX device).

The only thing left is the DishPlayer. Any codes for this?

Bob,
as was mentioned in the earlier posts in this thread, the code you need is 1005, but this code does not come pre-installed in any of the OFA or R/S remotes, it needs to be added. If you have an older R/S remote, it might be upgradeable via phone (models like 15-1918 are phone-upgradeable). Or, if you have a Producer 8 remote, these can be upgraded by mailing them in.

I'm not familiar with the 15-1935, what does it look like? Would you be willing to scan the picture off the box and email it to me? I know that Radio Shack put out a remote called 15-1934 which was a version of the Producer 8.
