Hi All,

I've got a 1060BC3 remote, and the OK/Select Button is locked to transmitting to the "CBL" only. Meaning, event if I press the TV button to access the menus and such, when I press the OK/Select button, the "CBL" led lights up instead of the "TV" one. I've tried the myriad of programming instructions but, the programming won't stick, I don't get the "Blink-twice" after I try to program/unlock the OK/Select button.

I used to have the old TV remote, but my son saw fit to destroy it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

The remote is normally arranged to send digits, channel+/- and OK/Select using the cable box setup codes even when the remote is in TV mode.  Most people find having the digits and Ch+/- going to the cable box is convenient, so turning off this "channel lock" feature (you could use the 993 command to change it) is generally not a good approach.  Instead apply a keymove to the OK/Select button using the 994 command.  We need to know what TV setup code you're using in order to specify the correct EFC, but I'll guess that you're using either setup code TV 0818 (so try EFC 59861)  or setup codes TV 0093 or TV 0688.  In that case try EFC  00221 or 0222.

I recommend using setup code 0818--using it you can add other specialty functino like the Applications button (assuming your OEM remote has such a button)

I have the same problem with a new Samsung TV (using TV Code 10812). I've done the Setup-994-Select and now when TV is selected, it sends the Select via the TV, but nothing happens, so it's not sending the correct code for the Samsung.

Try EFC 00069.
