I have the XSight Touch 8603.
After I have sent it by mail (good secured) it doesn't work.
No reaction, what can I do, I have no warranty?

I would think the warranty issue depends largely on where you live. A little more detail would also help.

What details do you want to have?

I have sent it by mail, the outside temperature is here about -5 °C.
Do you think that it was too cold for the XSight Touch?

The problem:
I touch the touchscreen, nothing happens.
I press the buttons, no reaction.
Put the remote control in the charging station for 1 hour, removed the battery insert the battery.
All didn't help.

Do you have the XSight Touch, too?

I'm not really clear on whether you've sent it to someone, and it's been returned as faulty, or whether you've received it from a supplier and it's faulty.

Regardless, however, if you're UK based and the item is new (purchased from a retailer) you should be able to claim a replacement or refund (I'm not fully aware of the trading standards of other areas).

Yes I've had one for 12 months, and apart from once not turning off the screen on time out (drained the battery) I've not had issue with it. Have you tried updating it (internet), or is it completely dead?

Completely dead.
I have sent it to someone and it was not working, now he sent it back to me.
In the moment you don't have a XSight Touch or?
I think on the backside could miss something, there is a strange gap, I don't know, if the gap was there before I have sent it away, so I would need a picture to compare.

I live in Germany, it's a special case, I have really no warranty.

Check out the images in Daniel's review (badged AR not One for All, but it's the same remote).

There I have found the wished image.
But it seems to be all right.

Any ideas?

Put the remote control in the charging station for 1 hour, removed the battery insert the battery.

When placing in the charger, a graphic usually appears on the screen. If, as you say, it's completely dead check;
  • The charger - does it have an output?*

  • The charger/remote connections - clean them nonetheless.

  • The battery - is it actually charged?*

  • The battery/remote connections - again, clean them anyway.

If none of the above resolve the problem I can only assume it's within the remote itself.

*(Multimeter obviously required).

It doesn't help.
If I try to charge via computer, it doesn't work.
So the charger can't be the problem.

Not sure I understand what you mean by charge via computer. The docking station is the charging unit and the mini USB port is for communications.

As I said previously, if you're convinced the charger, battery and connections are okay, then I can only assume the problem is within the remote itself and I'm afraid I can't help with that.

Usually you can charge the remote control via USB Port, too.

Not so in this case.
