I have a Oneforall URC-8910 and it says that it will control home automation products. I own X-10 products and I setup the remote to use the Aux button and the code 0167. Instructions state to select Aux then power button then to turn on and off a device to use the channel + and - buttons. my house code is set to A and I have a device on #2. To control the device that is set to house code A and # 2, I hit Aux hit Power, select 2 then channel +, but it does not work.
If anyone knows how to use this function please let me know since the support folks at the email address do not relpy at all.

Thanks for your help!

The 8910 is IR only remote, you need the x10 Ir543 x10 to IR converter. It does not matter what house code you use when it comes to IR remotes, only RF remotes.

You can have IR543 set to A house code, and another IR543 set to B house code, pressing #1 key and the CH up will control both IR543's.

Thanks so much for the information and your quick reply. That makes total sense. I already checked out the device and it is reasonably priced and it make sense to control ALL devices from a single remote. If I were to purchase another universal remote that already has RF then I would not need to purchase this additonal component.....correct? I guess to use the IR543 you need a direct line of site. It also seems that you are only able to control 8 devices (1-8 or 9-16) which is a bit of a limitation.

Only an X10 remote can control X10 via RF, no other RF remote can. Your remote can control all 16 devices via the IR543. The 8 at a time limit is only for the keypad on the device.
