Hello All,

Thanks in advance for any help on this issue!

I'm trying to locate some EFCs for an Aiwa receiver, model AV-NW31U, (OEM remote is MIA). I am using set up code 1388 in my Kameleon URC9960B01 remote.

I am trying to find the EFCs for two functions:
1) "Jog" or "Multi Jog" for receiver, this acts as a selector within many functions. On the OEM remote it had two keys "Jog +", and "Jog -". The receiver has a large two way direction knob for this function.

2) The "true" DSP function EFC; the set up code 1388 has a function for the DSP key, however it only togglle switches the signal input from Analog/Digitial. I am trying to find the EFC to access the actual DSP function. (Though again I need to "Jog" function to actually use this function once accessed).

URC stated 1309 was the latest code, and after updating the file I found this set up code did not work, and found 1388 to cover the most functions.

I've searched everywhere, but the Aiwa functions seem a bit strange. Any help is a big plus, Thanks!

Try the following:

Jog Up 33410
Jog Down 33346
DSP 15656

The actual correct code for your receiver is 2309, but it has to be renumbered to 1309 on the model of remote you have.

Hope this is helpful!

Thanks Zippy,

I haven't tried these yet, as I just saw the post. What I find interesting is the set up code you referenced. OFA support actually stated this was the best code, and I downloaded the WAV file for it. But, the receiver did not respond to the 1309 code, and I went with 1388.

I am going to try the above codes, and I may try entering the 1309 again on a different device key for fun.

I'm hoping these codes work, as I have been trying every code, starting at 15000, I just stopped at 15800 yesterday!

Thanks again, I'll let you know if I have success!

Hi (again) Zippy,

Well, this is starting to work out, but a bit strange...

The above codes did not work on the OFA, using set up code 1388. I tried 1309 under another device, and no response, and the above codes still did not work.

But...for fun I tried them with my Atlas OCAP, which uses set up code 1405, and they worked! So, I ended up teaching them to my Kameleon and now my Harmony.

Now a strange aspect, the "Jog" codes worked for the DSP function, but when I put the receiver onto "FM tuner", the "Jog" dial on the receiver cycles through the preset stations. But, the above Jog codes do not work with the FM staion presets. I'm wondering why this would be. Now I need to look at the manual again to see which functions are controlled by the Jog dial to test out the codes.

So, first THANKS again, this has been driving me crazy looking for these codes. But next, if you have any insight into what the "Preset (+/-)" codes might be, I'd be very grateful.

I must say I can't beleive you came through with these, I thought I'd have to go through thousands of codes manually to find these!!!

Hi,
Glad you got it working, good idea about the Atlas remote! It may be that your Kameleon doesn't support 5 digit codes as they are a bit newer. Also re the 1309, there is already an existing code 1309, and it may be that you downloaded the "real" 1309 which would not work. You need 2309, but then renumbered, which by standard would be renumbered to 1309 but would still be acutally 2309. Makes sense eh? ;-)

Anyway in 2309, there are two separate codes for Preset Up and Down, which should be worth a try. You may even find them on the Channel Up and Down keys, but if not the codes are:

Preset Up 16818
Preset Down 16754

You'll probably need to go the Atlas route again, but hopefully these should work for you.

Good luck!

Thanks Zippy,

I'll give these a try, both routes.

The Kameleon does take five digit codes, this is the "newer" model of the ones I have.

I'm still intrigued by the "2309/1309" set up codes. I may try them in another remote to see if the EFCs respond. Then I can teach them to the other remotes if needed.

Thanks again, I'll let you know how these work!

Truly Thank You Zippy! These codes worked great!

They worked fine with both the Kameleon 9960B01 (using set up code 1388), and my Atlas OCAP (using set up code 1405).

THANKS AGAIN!!
