My old trusty Harmony 880 is having issues so I would like to go ahead and set up the 15-1994 if possible. I remember the talk about the JP1 or whatever it's called but I really don't want to put any money into this. Is there a current list of codes for this remote to work with a Motorola DCH 3416? Also a Samsung Blu Ray player (2550 model)?

The DCH 3416 will respond to CBL 0476.

However, Blu Ray codes are pretty new, and the 15-1994 doesn't have a setup code which will work.

Do you have a Comcast remote with a red OK/Select button? If so, use 01376 for CBL (it's probably already programmed that way, and if not you'll need to use the 982 command (below) to unlock the CBL setup code), and 20199 on AUX to control the Blu Ray.

Of course, you could use JP1 to upload an upgrade to the 15-1994, but why not just buy a RCA RCRP05B? It's probably still on sale at Walgreens for $8 or $9. Use CBL 1376 and DVR/DVD 0199. Also available at Best Buy, but more expensive.

The OneForAll URC-8820N (and 10820N) will work too. Sears and the internet.

With any of these remotes, you can add the 30 second skip function which allows you to blow through commercials on recorded programs.

Choose a button to assign the skip function to. I use PIP Ch-
Press CBL
1) PRess Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 994
3) Press Setup briefly
4) Enter 00173
5) Press PIP CH- (or whatever button you like)
The remote should blink twice. Now pressing PIP CH- should advance the PVR by 30 seconds.

To unlock cable setup:
Press Setup until 2 blinks
Enter 982
Should get 4 blinks, indicating it is unlocked.
Doing the same procedure again should get 2 blinks, indicating it is re-locked.
