Hi, I have a OneForAll URC3300 and I have a RCA TV/DVD COMBO model(L32HD35D).I have found the code to operate the TV using the search on the remote but cannot seem to find the code to operate the dvd player on it.Does anyone know the code that will operate the dvd player?

Tell us the TV setup code. If you don't know what it is, read the instructions, or use the instructions for the 990 command.

I used the 9-9-0 and came up withe code 0047 but not sure if thats right because I tried to use the 9-4-4 code to clear the TV key to test it but it will not erase it so I was unable to test it out.The remote works almost all the TV functions except when I bring up the Menu, I can scroll up and down using the channel arrows but haven't been able to find the button that allows me to enter the selected menu option to do anything.

I won't be able to work on this until later, but you can help this along by being a little more precise. I suspect that the setup code 1022 is really Video 1022--the remote needs to have the Video device button (maybe called VCR or DVD, etc.) pressed before entering or using the setup code. Is that right? If so that means the TV is using the RCA IR protocol.

There is also a Video 0038 code (but no TV 0038), but Video 0038 is a NEC IR protocol. Some UEI remotes have TV 1038, 1138, 1238 codes (not necessarily in the URC-3300) which are also RCA IR protocol. Any chance that 0038 is really TV 1038?

Finally, if you follow the instructions in the above link for the 990 command, you can blink back the setup code that is assigned to a device button. I'd like to know what functioning code was found by code search.

I edited my second post because none of the info I had given earlier could be determined accurately due to the fact I hadn't deleted the info in the TV key so any code which I entered from online would have worked because it was it was already locked into the original search code that was programmed in it.But I did ,like I said in my edited second post find the 4 digit TV code using 9-9-0 and the code is 0047.
Have found nothing for the dvd player. Please read my edited 2nd post.

OK, I read your post, and thanks for the blink back. TV 0047 is RCA protocol, device 15, and it gives us some hope that the DVD will be also RCA protocol, but a different device. I'll work on that tonight.

FYI, the 994 command is for keymoves, and the device keys can not have a keymove assigned to them, and so 994 won't do anything to a device key like TV.

The Setup Code doesn't need to be erased; you can just assign a new one, and if the remote recognizes it, it will blink twice.

But get prepared for some 994 activity; that's probably what we will need to do to get the DVD working.

I may not have access to the latest setup code lists for the URC3300, but the pickings are pretty slim. You should try Video code 0060 and 0202. In each case of trying a setup code, look to see if the remote blinks twice after you enter the setup code. If it doesn't blink twice, probably that setup code isn't buit-in to the remote.

I hope that your remote has Video 0522 (or 0822, 0880). Also check to see if it has Video 1022 or 1060. 0522 is the mostly likely to control your DVD, and 1022/1060 have enough flexibility so that we can try individual button codes until you lose patience. So tell us if any of those code blink back twice.

I hope I did this right.I tried all the codes pressing VCR/DVD , then setup (till twice blinked),then entered 4 digit code, then pushed play button. None of the codes did anything, however the 0522,and 0060 codes did blink back twice after entering the code.
I tried some codes from another RCA dvd player post on the forum and these 2 codes also gave a double blink back after entering them.
0571
0717

But still none of the codes would work the dvd player.

Editing to say that I tried all the codes in the manual for other dvd players but none will play the dvd player.

Also , I found that the shift key allows me to select the Menu option for the TV settings.

We're runing out of possibilities. I think at this point our only hope is that the remote has one of the RCA Combo protocol setup codes. Please check if you get 2 blinks for any of the following setup codes. If you do, then we can try entering individual buttonm codes, looking for the correct device number.

Video
0161
1022
1060
1132

TV (you may need to restore 0047 after trying these)
0794
1057
1922
1948
1953
1980
1983

If none of these are in the remote, then I think you're out of luck with this particular remote.

None of the codes above worked with my TV or gave a twice blink back. Theres lots of codes that work my TV that end in 47 but the two that worked the best are 0047 and 1447.I guess the only way I'll be able to pause my dvd player is by turning the tv off and then when I turn it back on it will start where it left off. Thanks for trying to help.If you find anything else that might help let me know.BTW,are there any remotes out there with the glow in the dark big keys like the one I have that might have a more updated database?
