HDTV is a Sony Bravia KDL-46V5100 purchased July, 2009
Remote is an One for All URC-8810 learning remote

I am looking for the decrete code for the cable/antenna input for the Sony Bravia HDTV. None of the advanced codes seem to work as posted on HiFi- remote web site under preset 0000 for this Sony. I have located the other descrete codes for component, video 2, HDMI and PC.

If this has been requested before, I could not find it in any of my searches.

Thank you for any help.

Try 112

If that doesn't work, post the working ones you've found, and that will help with the search.

I have located the discrete code for the cable/antenna input. The following is a list of discrete codes for my Sony Bravia. I presume they will work for most of the Sony Bravia HDTV series of televisions.

Cable 016 This will set the cable to channel 3 on the TV tuner input.
antenna 012 This will set the TV to channel 4 on the antenna input.
Discrete on 113
Discrete off 109
Component 1 034
Component 2 032
Video 2 030
HDMI 1 029
HDMI 2 162
HDMI 3 158
PC input 028

I used the learning remote to be able to program my Sony RM-AV3000 remote.
I hope this helps.

Glad you found working codes. Just to clarify for others, 016 and 012 aren't actually cable and antenna, they are just 3 and 4. Entering any channel number or ch+/- automatically switches to the tv tuner. The code for tuner is actually 243 and antenna/cable is 112 (which toggles between antenna and cable inputs).

Cable on channel 3 tells me you are sending the analog 480i RF out from your cable box to your tv rather than feeding the cable directly from the wall. The latter will give you a much better picture. Then go from the cable box to your tv with component or hdmi (or dvi if necessary) for an actual HD picture. So split the cable from the wall, sending one side to the cable box and the other direct to the cable input on your tv. Then use the antenna command to select between cable and antenna. The way you have it hooked up now probably worked great with your old SD TV, but is the worst way to hook up to your HD TV.

Actually, I am using the cable input on the TV in connection with my VCR. One output from my cable box goes to the VCR and then to the cable input on the TV. The VCR them plays back to the TV.The other output on my cable box goes to the component 1 input on the TV so I can watch HDTV. I am using the component 1 input to watch HDTV from my cable box. Using a macro, my wife can record and play back the VCR without her being aware she is changing inputs. This old VCR does not have component inputs but does have an indexing feature my wife loves.

The antenna feature will be used when my cable goes out. I do have an indoor antenna and use an A/B switch if necessary. The channel 4 discrete will take me to NBC on the antenna.

Thank you for your input.
