Hi.. I've been looking through the forum, it seems like nobody has dealt with this problem before. I just bought the OFA 7525, inserted 4 AAA batteries in and the power button lights up twice.

I press and hold the magic button, the power button lights up once and then twice. And then here is the weird stuff, I press ANY button now and the power button lights up for a long time, like 1 second.

I try to enter any code, there's no response on the TV. There's no light on the power button either. I am not sure if the remote is working or not.

The part where the power button lights up for 1 sec on the pressing of any key (volume, channel, digit) is not documented in the manual. The manual just ask me to press the 5 digit number but it doesn't seem to give any feedback, and pointing it at the TV does nothing.

Sounds like you're pressing a button other than 0,1, 2 ,3 (all 5 digit codes will start with one of those) or 9 (for 3 digit commands), or you have low batteries. To reset everything and start over, hold Magic for 2 blinks then 981.

What's the response supposed to be when I press 981?

When I hold the Magic for 2 blinks, and press then first digit (9), the LED lights up for a long time, and after I finish typing 981, nothing else lights up.

I tried keying in another digit after that (SANYO 10208) but as I press the digit 1, the LED lights up a long time, then nothing.

Are you sure it's not the batteries?
