Remote: UEI Atlas OCAP 1056B01 (non-learning)
Receiver: Sony ES (2400/3400/4400/5400/6400)

Have searched for a discrete input select for any HDMI (1-6) Input to no avail. Have tried Device Codes 1759 and 1758 and get basic functionality (Vol+/-, PWR Toggle) and added Discrete Power-ON and Discrete-Power-OFF, and can select analog inputs (DVD component, Video 1, MD, etc) through the use of 5 digit EFCs found on this site and others but have yet to find any references to the HDMI inputs.

Sony OEM remote does have discrete HDMI selection buttons.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Its been a while since I upgraded gear and 5 digit codes are new to me. Thanks.

Have you tried OBCs 68 and 69 under device code 16? (described as "digital 1" and "digital 2" here).

The 5-digit EFCs for these functions are:
23501 - digital 1
22477 - digital 2

Rob- Thank you for your response. I had been to that site but my UEI1056 did not support any of the Device Set-up codes on their OFA list. Sony device 16 seems to correspond Device Set-up code TUNER 0158 and VCR 0243.In either case the remote won't accept those codes.

I also saw that the site only provided single byte EFCs. I don't see how to map to the 5 digit ones (besides two leading zeros). Judging by what does work the recvr takes advantage of two byte codes.

In any case I did try the EFCs you provided with set-up code 1759 but no luck. I had previously tried Digital 1 and Digital 2 from the 1759 (21449 and 20425) but no response there either.

The native remote has 13 set up codes, 12 of them >1000 and of them only 1759 (best) and 1758 have ever produced a response.

I have a workaround using a discrete analog input and menu-ing to the HMDI Input but it is neither robust nor future proof.

I realize my answer is probably a 1056 learner but is seems to me that if there are discrete inputs for the analog inputs there are also there for the HDMIs, they just have to be found.

If you have any more ideas please post. Thanks again.

Unlike setup codes like 0159, which are dedicated to just 2 device codes, the 1758/1759 codes that you're using are "combo" codes that can combine an unlimited amount of regular Sony device codes. As your Atlas supports 5 digit EFCs, it's just a question of calculating the correct code. I calculated those two codes using the Keymap-Master (KM) spreadsheet, but I could also have used Remote Master (RM). Both are JP1 tools.

I don't believe anyone has found the HDMI discrete codes yet. If I'm wrong, hopefully somebody will post the info, or at least a link to the info, in any format and I'll derive the EFCs from it.
Rob.
