Thats is great, but i don't have setup button, and i cant change any settings for my DVD player. I found these DP600 remote codes - I don't know if that helps anything. But i would be so great full if someone helped me. I have also that wav file, but that isnt much help i guess.

I just last week got my remote. I assume you mean an 8210. But you should be more specific to avoid any confusion. I got codes from their service. That's real confusing. You got what from who? but i don't have setup button, Is that the whole problem? Meaning you have a working setup code in the 8210, which operates most of the functions of your DVD player and you just need the EFC numbers for a few more functions, such as setup? If so, what setup code number is it that works most of the functions? I found these DP600 remote codes - I don't know if that helps anything. Yes, those can be translated easily into EFC numbers once I know what is inside the setup code you are using. I have also that wav file, but that isnt much help i guess. Is that a .wav file you installed into the 8210 to get most of the functions working for your DVD? If so, it would help a lot. You could email that file to me, and I can read the contents and figure out the best way to add any missing functions. Address code for all keys 0x1d. I don't have the list of built-in setup codes for the 8210 handy. In other models, address code 0x1d could be handled by any one of the setup codes: Audio/0765 Audio/1554 DVD/0713 DVD/1994 Any one of those might need significant patching with EFC codes to get full support for your DVD, but if any of those setup codes is built-in on the 8210, it could be used without needing any upgrade. I don't recall whether an 8210 even can be upgraded by .wav file, but since you mentioned a .wav file, I guess it can. If you have a .wav file that installs one of the above setup codes or some better one, that should be better than trying to find one of those four setup codes built-in.

Ok, im sorry for not being specific enough. Well then, will try to write now everything you need to know more correctly. Yes, the remote is All for one URC 8210. Yes, my there is possibility to add codes to my remote from wav files. And that wav for codes i got from one for all service e-mail. they sent it to me that wav file. And yes i have working most of buttons with code DVD0396, but for now biggest problem is setup button. Just looked in manual i got in my remote codes DVD/0713, Audio/0765(that was as DVD Yamakawa code) and Audio/1554, but dont have DVD/1994 .
Hope this will help.

I got your email. I'll examine the .wav file later. I'm a bit surprised at the setup code number 0396, because OneForAll doesn't tend to reuse a setup number that they're using in other models for something else within the same group of device types, and 0396 is so used in at least seven models. But I'll know more after I disect that .wav file.

i have working most of buttons with code DVD0396, but for now biggest problem is setup button. I think that list of HEX Codes you got for the DP600 must be wrong. In DVD0396 the address code is 0x16, not 0x1d. Most of the advanced functions are different between DVD0396 and the list you posted (so it isn't just the address code that is wrong). Your list and DVD0396 are both RC5 protocol. Certain functions (such as power toggle and the digits) are standardized within RC5, so those are the same in your list as in DVD0396. But most other functions are different. Also, I'm not sure how device types are grouped for the 8210, but you said the first upgrade in the emailed wav file was "Video Accesories 0602" and it doesn't work. But if the JP1 RDF file I'm using for 8210 is correct, the first upgrade in that file is SAT/CBL 0602 and it is nearly the same as DVD0396. If you had selected it with the right device type, it should have worked, since it is so close to the same as DVD/0396.

Well Device types on 8210 are grouped like this - TV, TV2, Audio, Audio 2, CD, DVD, VCR, SAT, Aux1(buttons for VCR), Aux2(buttons for DVD). Ok, i did use Video Accesories code wrong. I will try it on SAT right now, cos just saw, that in manual too Video Accesories is under SAT. But i dont know it will be good, cos there are no buttons like Eject, but will try it out! :)
P.S. About these HEX codes for DP600. I had no idea if they are right or not, these where only ones that i found on net, just thought, maybe they can help.

Do you know how to use EFC number (AKA advanced codes) on an 8210?
I haven't had time yet to find an 8210 manual online and get those instructions for you.
In case the function number for SETUP from your list is correct, I translated it to EFC. That is 177. I think the 8210 uses five digit EFC numbers so it would be 00177.
On most OneForAll models, you can test an EFC number as follows: 1) Select the right device mode (a device button with either SAT/0602 or DVD/0396 programmed on it).
2) Do a short press of the Programming key (The "Set" or "Magic" or whatever they call it on that model, key; The key for which a long press is used to start programming).
3) Key in all but the last digit of the EFC number. (so 0017 if I'm right that the 8210 uses five digit EFCs).
4) Aim the remote.
5) Press and hold the last digit of the EFC number long enough to see if you get the desired effect on the device.
Once you know whether an EFC number is correct, there is a way to do a "KeyMove" to program that EFC to a key, so it will be a single keypress in the future. Alternately, JP1 software could be used to recreate the .wav file to have that function included.
BTW, which other functions don't work?

Just tested SAT/0602, doesnt work on SAT too. Well about buttons, maybe thats other reason, but with power button i can turn on player, but when i turn off, it kinda stays in some half turned off stage. But that could be some other reason. Will look now at picture of original KISS remote and write what kind of buttons i dont work also. So here it is: Options button (its not same as setup button) DVD button (To enter DVD menu) Next two arnt too important because i can enter that menu in other ways. KISS Online KISS PC-Link There are some that im not yet sure that i dont have them. Ok im gonna try out now that Setup button. [Link: oneforall-int.com] Here you can find manual of URC8210. ;) But i couldnt find in it anything about advanced codes or EFC.

But i couldnt find in it anything about advanced codes or EFC. The EFC number is the five digit number used in step 5 of the instructions on page 28 of that pdf file. Those instructions tell you how to program the function of that EFC number (within that setup code) onto a key. In other OFA documentation, that process is called a "KeyMove". I believe the instructions I gave above for testing an EFC number should also work. You could test it by using the keymove process then test the button, then erase the keymove if it is wrong. But direct testing before doing the keymove is easier if you aren't confident the EFC will be correct. For many setup codes, including all the setup codes we have discussed in this thread, all EFC numbers can be found in the range 00000 through 00255. If you use any EFC number above 00255 it will just duplicate the behavior of some EFC number up to 00255. On October 24, 2007 at 13:04, drzerg said...
Just tested SAT/0602, doesnt work on SAT too. That still makes no sense to me. But I guess you won't have any need for SAT/0602, so it won't matter. with power button i can turn on player, but when i turn off, it kinda stays in some half turned off stage. I can't think of a reason for that problem either.

OHhh thanks a lot for everything! Setup button is working, and with Magic key function, that i just found my remote has, i can easy assign key kode to any button i choose! :) So i just assigned that 00177 code to one button, and it worked :) Do you have list of all keys for that 0396 code? If no, i can ask just costumer service, codes of all buttons for my KISS DP-600 and than easy assign everything how i like.
One more thanks for helping, im happy now! :D

Do you have list of all keys for that 0396 code? I just have a translator, plus the info you put in post 1 of this thread. Here is the output from that translation: 00080 - 0x2d - EJECT_BUTTON 00101 - 0x42 - RECORD_BUTTON 00133 - 0x43 - ERASE_BUTTON 00164 - 0x48 - RETURN_BUTTON 00199 - 0x51 - LEFT_BUTTON 00231 - 0x56 - UP_BUTTON 00167 - 0x50 - RIGHT_BUTTON 00071 - 0x55 - DOWN_BUTTON 00007 - 0x57 - ENTER_BUTTON 00115 - 0x32 - SKIP_PREVIOUS_BUTTON 00083 - 0x35 - STOP_BUTTON 00051 - 0x34 - SKIP_NEXT_BUTTON 00209 - 0x21 - MENU_BUTTON 00243 - 0x36 - LIST_BUTTON 00177 - 0x20 - SETUP_BUTTON 00179 - 0x30 - MARK_BUTTON 00069 - 0x45 - AUDIO_BUTTON 00197 - 0x41 - TITLE_MENU_BUTTON 00196 - 0x49 - SUBTITLE_BUTTON 00037 - 0x44 - INPUT_BUTTON 00165 - 0x40 - TV_BUTTON 00229 - 0x46 - HDD_BUTTON 00100 - 0x4a - ONLINE_BUTTON 00208 - 0x29 - ZOOM_BUTTON 00036 - 0x4c - VOLUME_DOWN_BUTTON 00207 - 0x11 - VOLUME_UP_BUTTON 00175 - 0x10 - STORE_BUTTON Next, I pulled the list of EFC numbers that are included in DVD/0396 (Note both lists exclude the standard RC5 values that are always on power and digits). I don't have a good RDF file for the 8210, so I don't know which buttons have which of these EFC numbers. But anyway, the two lists don't overlap as much as you'd expect them to if each of them were mainly correct. 00004 00012 00014 00047 00049 00068 00076 00078 00079 00108 00110 00111 00113 00142 00142 00143 00174 00175 00189 00207 00228 00236 00238

Well that all i found out, maybe it helps someone else too! I was searching for STOP button, as i found out that it isnt working, but of course it was last code in the list :D
