Hi,

I'm using a One For All remote with the code 1758 for my Sony Amp. I've got a list of EFC's from this thread: [Link: remotecentral.com]. They seem to do everything I want, except one function. I can't select the 'TV' input source.

These are the codes I use to select the other input sources, which all work:

Video: 08393
DVD: 61385
MD/HDD: 44745
Radio: 07881

Can anyone advise me on a code that may work, or where I may find such codes to test? Obviously I don't wish to manually try 0 - 99999 :)

Many thanks,
Dave.

I don't see anything saying which model OFA remote this is. I'm not sure whether all models that take 5 digit EFC numbers are consistent for Audio/1758.

I'm also not sure RemoteMaster support for 5 digit EFCs is good enough yet (I'm using version 1.78) to completely trust. But it's the best tool I have, and I used it to translate all the numbers Dave and Edmund posted here. I selected the URC-8820 as the model of remote and SonyCombo(12/15/20) as the protocol.

Here are the results of that translation:

EFC5 Device Command
08393 ... 48 .... 34
61385 ... 48 ... 125
45001 ... 48 ... 109
07881 ... 48 .... 33
47413 ... 15 ... 110
01845 ... 15 .... 29
01997 ... 16 .... 29

Compare those to the commands listed here:
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

Unless I or RemoteMaster is making a significant error, Edmund's suggestions are for a different Sony device.

Device 15 seems to be a for a MiniDisc. Device 16 seems to be a different Receiver code set (with the same command numbering as device 48).

It does seem from that list that you want command 29, but in device 48. RemoteMaster says that is 65481.

Hi,

I just assumed the EFC's for that code were the same for all OFA remotes. I'm using a URC-8305.

I've been in touch with the OFA people and they sent me an updated list of EFC's, which worked for what I wanted. Just in case the list is useful for anyone else, I'll include it here.

Hi Dave, Mike Messina in FL. I'm trying to find current comcast Sony codes for Sony STR-DH800. The codes in your list for Sat & Video 1 work fine. I need to find HDMI1,2,3,4. Any thoughts. Regards, Mike M

Sony IR functions are extensively listed at hifi-remote.com/sony/.  HDMI inputs are Sony 20 protocol, device 16.32, function code 16 through 20.

Unfortunately, no Comcast remote is capable of sending these signals except by using a $30 JP1 cable, and uploading a device upgrade.
