I purchased a Dlink DSM-320RD streaming DVD player. I would like to get it to work with my remote. I have a one for all 6131B00 remote that was upgraded by One4All with the upgrade pins, and I also have a cable.

There are two DSM-320 files posted in the download site. I have tried uploading both of them into my remote, but they do not work. I'm not an expert at this, so I may have done something wrong in uploading with IR, but I followed the instructions and it appears to be in the remote now. But it doesn't work with the DSM.

Dlink says I need official code 1554, and that I can either send in my remote to have it added, or I can purchase an 8910 remote and have them send the codes over the phone. I'm concerned about buying another remote and then finding out that their codes don't work. Also, I like the 6131. Is there any way to get the official code 1554 to upload into my remote? Any other suggestions. Thanks for your help.

You're asking this in the wrong forum.

Rob has said he no longer reads this forum and Rob is the only person who has been getting upgrades from OFA in a JP1 usable form for USA OneForAll remotes.

Try one of the forums here:

If you use the code search forum make sure you fill in the template of basic information. Even if that doesn't seem relevent to a request of "Please get me a JP1 file for the official DVD/1554" Rob is picky about that.

Which download site and which files? And what did you do with them?

Maybe those files were right for your DVD, and I could guess what you did wrong with a little more info.

Edit: Found them. I had incorrectly assumed they would be in the DVD section, since you said "streaming DVD".
They were at [Link: hifi-remote.com]

Seems like the DSM-320 and DSM-320RD use different code sets (since there are several DVD setup codes roughly matching those upgrade files, yet they gave you a different setup code number than any of those).

Still, it might be the same code set and you might have done something wrong in loading it. You can download the image you tested back from the remote and save to a .ir file, post in the JP1 diagnosis area and ask about it (with URL to that file) in a JP1 forum and I or another expert will look at it in ir.exe and see if there is an error.

Thanks. I've posted on that site as well.
