Have you not been able to find those codes on that page, or have you found them and they just don't work. Under the Receiver link, I see:

49 Bass Boost

This is for device 12. If you go to the link "How to use these codes with a One For All or Radio Shack remote" and look in the first table, you'll see that device 12 corresponds to OFA setup code 0158/0159. In the second table, you'll see that code 49 correpsonds to advanced code 046. So, 046 *should* control bass boost on your receiver if you're using device code 0158/0159 (one or both may work).

I also see all the other functions for menu navigation (also setup code 0158/0159) and EQ settings (setup code 0010). Have you tried these?

One more thing, you realize that these setup codes (0159, 0010, etc.) may not be included with your remote, correct? They did not come factory installed in my URC-8910, but your remote may be different.

And yes, floyd_1977 is derived from Pink Floyd.

That's because I've not been sent any 5-digit code lists by users yet, and as it looks like you're not going to let us have your code lists, we'll have to wait for the next user to send me the codes. Besides, I can calculate all the codes from the ones posted at the hifi-remote.com/sony site if I need them.

yes, floyd, as i said, i'd been all over that site, and was unable to find anything that worked with my gear. i'm quite familiar with the process of translating the codes on that page into EFCs to plug into the remote.

and yes, i of course know that the device codes had to be downloaded, and so far, no fewer than 10 codes have been loaded into the remote.

i certainly do appreciate you're trying to be helpful, but i *did* in fact read the manual, and having had no luck with that, have scoured the web for additional info... i can appreciate that a lot of people may come here asking stupid RTFM questions... i'm not one of those people.

there's this little thing that's been in the news quite a bit over the past few years... perhaps you've heard of it. it's called "intellectual property rights". now, i realize that you folks, with your high-powered, lucrative careers as remote control code experts, you guys probably don't have any concerns about lawsuits over that sort of thing, but me, with my measly $100k software developer's salary, i can't afford to take that sort of thing for granted.

wow... i came in here looking for help, and instead i not only get treated like a friggin' idiot who's too stupid to read, i have to deal with tempermental "experts" who throw hissy fits when they hear that someone might actually know more codes than they do!


fine, you want codes? i'll copy and paste them right here. you fine, helpful folks can format them, and copy them into files, if you want... i'm sure as hell not doing it for you.

I sincerely doubt you got your hands on codes that Rob or any of the other local experts couldn't have gotten themselves. Rob already said that he could calculate these on the fly if he needed to. They wanted you to post the codes that you received so they could understand what you were working with and so that they might have a better chance of helping you.
