Cinema 7 Punch Through?

On the Cinema 7 is it possible to "punch through" a code to be accessible from any mode? I'd like to do something similar to the volume lock (993) with other commands. This would eliminate switching from say SAT mode to VCR mode if I want to control my VCR.

Anyone know if this is or isn't possible?

Thanks,

Tim

yes, but you have to do it on a key-by-key basis, and on a device-by-device basis. SETUP + 994 allows you to move a key from one device to another:

1)SETUP, 9, 9, 4
2)Device button that the button is FROM
3)the button
4)Device button that the button is TO
4)the new button

And it should be copied to that new device/key.

I tried this, and it doesn't work. I get one long blink after pressing the last button. I am trying to move keys that were learned into AUX, seeing as there are no built in codes for my Rotel pre-amp, nor any advanced ones...

I've noticed that the VCR play, rewind, ff, record, stop keys are "punched through" when I switch to TV. However, if I select DVD/LD and then go to TV, those functions are used.
