Go to the system menu and see if your system is set to mode 3, if it is, change it to mode 1 and the Kameleon will probably work.

do you mean system menu on the kameleon or the sony dream system? I forgot to mention also that the sony dream system is pretty much useless without a remote no functions will work if you put in a dvd it just stays at menu.so i cant really mess around with much on the dream system.

The proper code for Dream Systems is AUD 1658, and the only code.

Sorry, it is the only code for Dream systems. Your lucky to get that. Sony has 3 different codesets, AV1, AV2 and Dream system. Most Universals have only a code for AV1. Your Kameleon is a learning remote, teach the few missing commands.

You can also use JP1 to load a new code, which you can customize, if you like.

If you're using setup code 1658, then whatevers mapped you're stuck with, since this a code doesn't accept advanced codes like other setup codes.

If you own the original sony remote, and if your OFA remote is a learning remote, teach the commands from oem remote to the ofa.
