REMOTE: One For All (Model: URC 6131nwB00)

COMPONENT1: Daewoo TV (Model: CTS2090)
PROBLEM: None of the provided codes works. I tried the automatic code searching too -- not working. The remote just doesn't pick up the TV.

COMPONENT2: SONY MHC-DP700
PROBLEM: can't completely control the system.
I can adjust the volumn, but not skip to the next track, or change radio station, sorts of stuff.

P.S. Other remotes I've tried are RCA RCU800 and SONY RM-V402. Neither of them works for the TV. The funny thing is OFA remote can turn on/off the SONY MHC (mini hi-fi component) system and SONY RM-V402 remote can make the CD play or stop. Other a little bit advanced features can't be done through any of the remote I've tried.

SOS -- ANY TYPE OF HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

When you go through a code search, and you don't get any hits, thats it. there just isn't any codes. The urc-8820, lists 4 extra daewoo tv codes then the 6131nw.

What code does the sony get partial control from?

The 8820 is also a learning remote, if it doesn't have a code either, it can at least learn from your original remotes.

Thanks a whole bunch, Edmund. I'll try other ways. Now I kind of suspect my TV's sensor might not work anymore. Is it common for Daewoo?

The code for SONY RM V402 is 001. This code is supposed to be for MHC systems but still can't work completely.

I was wondering if you had found a solution for this problem. We have the same tv and have just experienced the same problem you listed. The remote worked early in the day and then just quit. We have purchased several universal remotes and none of the codes work. If you have any information, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I have the same problem... The remote works sometimes, but other times it doesn't.

And when it doesn't I know the LED is flashing because I put my video camera in IR mode and I see it flashing.

I assume that all of you are saying that your Daewoo TVs (model CTS2090) have stopped responding to the original Daewoo remote, and one of you (bobfar) took the extra step to verify that the Daewoo remote itself is still working.

Based on the evidence presented, I would have to assume that there's a problem with this model of Daewoo TV where the IR receiver stops working for some reason.

If that's the case, there's not much that any of the remote experts here can do to help, you will need to seek the advice of a TV repairman. Have you tried contacting Daewoo themselves to see if they are aware of the situation and maybe have a solution?
Rob.

I have the same Daewoo Tv model and can not get any of the 5 universal remotes that I have purchased to work on this TV?! Did you ever have any luck with finding a code or a remote that would work?

Thank you :)
Sara
