I haven't been able to get ANY codes for my Rotel RSP-980 pre-amp, so I had to learn them all (into AUX). Problem is that I also had to learn the mute/volume+/- to all devices, eating up all my learning memory that I need to learn from my Technics DD/DTS decoder.
I tried the volume lock (setup_** 993), but it doesn't seem to work for a learned function in AUX. I also tried to re-located my AUX mute/volume to other devices using the 994 trick, nothing works.
Any ideas on what to try next?

I have a similar problem with my Denon Receiver. I had to learn all the codes (in RCVR) mode, and I have not been able to get the volume control to punch through for all the other devices. I only control my volume with my receiver, so this feature would really make the remote more usefull.
