A few of the buttons on my 8811 have gone bad. Is it possible to fix them at all?

I read something in the archives about a Loctite product, but that thread was about 3 years ago and maybe things have changed.

Can anyone advise me on the best course of action?

Thanks.

Two things can make a button stop working. The trace on the little circuit board beneath the button can be worn off, or the contact pad on the underside of the button can be worn off. Both might be fixable.

Go to an auto parts store and ask for (silver) conductive paint, often used to repair broken window antenna traces. Use a little to repair the worn off areas under the defective buttons.
