I have a Kamelon 6-in-1. I am trying to program a macro and have encountered difficulty. I was hoping somebody could give me step by step instruction on how to program these. I am trying to set a macro on M1 key to do the following in order.
1. Turn Mitsubishi Tv on.
2. Turn on Sony DE475 receiver
4. Change Sony receiver to Television
3. Have Kamelon control my satellite-dvr(which I have saved under my VCR device key on Kamelon.
4. Have Kamelon volume buttons run Sony Receiver volume (while still controlling other functions for satellite-dvr).
5. Hit M1 to shut everythink down

I have actually been able to put together a macro that does does 1 through 3. Problem is, when everything is running, and I want to shut it all down, I hit M1, it shuts everything off, but then the Sony receiver comes back on.

Can anybody help me?Thank you

With the sony receiver off, press an input command, the receiver will come on. So when you press M1 to turn things off, the power command will turn it off, but when the receiver sees the input command it'll turn back on. You'll need to use more then one macro to get things done.

Thanks for your quick response, but I am confused.
Here's the sequence I've tried to enter to the M1 button.
TV button, Power on button, Audio button , Power On button, #8 button (switches Receiver to Television input), VCR button (to control satellite tv)

My question is this. Assuming I'm starting with all devices off, I hit M1 to go through this sequence to turn them all ON, If I then hit M1 again, shouldn't it turn them all off?

The second time I hit M1, everything powers off, including the receiver, but then the receiver turns on again.

The step that is making your receiver turn back on is when you:
Change Sony receiver to Television.

The sony receiver sees this command and turns back on right after it was turned off.

What Kameleon remote are you using? Perhaps you can program a power macro and a separate macro. And have another macro perform the other functions.

Edmund & Civic,
I guess maybe where I am confused is I thought with the macro applications, I could basically configure it like one of the harmony remotes, i.e., press M1 and everything powers up and is ready for watching Satellite tv, press M1 again and everything powers off. Press M2 and everything powers up and is ready to watch the DVD player, press M2 again and everything powers off.

I'm not sure of model # but it is the Radio Shack 6 for 1. Flat Rectagular remote with blue screen that lights up. Not the newer peanut shaped remotes they have out now.
