Hi,
I have a problem setting up macro for powerr off/on all my devicess.
All is working fine exept my Panasonic TX-28PG40 TV.
TV need long keypress duration to powerr itself ON (poweroff is OK) and I have no idea how to setup keypressduration in macros. Any ideas please?

Thanks a lot
jaz

jaz,
It could be that the TV needs to see the power ON command twice in a row to turn on.

There have been cases like yours where entering the Power command twice has worked to turn on a TV that needed a long key press. You could try that in your macro (enter the power command twice in a row). If that doesn't work try three times.

Also, are you using the discrete ON command for Panasonic (022) or does it not work on your TV? I ask because if you were using discrete it would completely eliminate the possibility of turning the tv on and then back off again. For that matter, it is even *possible* that using the discrete code would work just by entering it once.

To test a discrete code:
Press and release the device key for the device you wish to control
Press and release the SET or P key
Press the three digit code for the advanced code (some remotes require 5 digits; if so, enter two zeros before the three digit code
Upon pressing the last key in the advanced code, your device will respond if it is going to accept the advanced code.

I have already tested 1st option before and it didn't work. TV needs one long key press.
Code 022 is not working as well. Remote accepted the code but TV doesn't react to it.(I think that you mean key magic programming).
:-(
Thaks anyway

Try 00022 instead of 022.

jaz,
Try setting a macro that sends 00022, 00022 back to back and see if it works.

:-) all is working now....
I had to apply some small workaround.
I found out that my URC-39730 (bundled with my SAT) is accepting advanced codes as described in [Link: hifi-remote.com] (I red almost all doc there ). TV was reacting to code 022(discrete ON) & 026(discrete off).
Then I applied IR LEARN procedure to my new remote.
Now macro 022,026 .... works perfectly.
It seems that new kameleon need different advanced codes or KEY MAGIC function as described in [Link: oneforall-int.com] page 28 is not the same think.
Thanks a lot for help

Great! I'm glad to hear that you got it working. Just goes to show that you can usually get good help here, even when you can't from OFA support :)

OFA support contacted me again and suggested to use discrete ON/OFF functions ;-).
Advanced codes they suggested to me are:
- 20021 for "Discrete Power On"
- 21045 for "Discrete Power Off"

Both are working.
Unfortunatelly I don't see any visible relation between old (022, 026) and new codes :-(

Unfortunately, neither do I.
Fortunately, it looks like Rob has more discrete codes to add to his list!

It seems to that:
N = 256xO+14389

N=new code, O=old code

For example:
MENU is OLD 103 and new 40757 --> and 40757 works in my remote as menu :-)
