Hi all, new member so please be kind!

I've just bought a brand spankin' new OFA Kameleon URC-8206 (Kameleon 6 2nd Gen) as an upgrade from URC-URC- 8040 (OFA Kameleon 4 1st Gen).

Great peice of kit, except for one problem:
I cannot get the remote to work with my Tangent D-101 DVD player.
I've used the code on the OFA website (code 1987), but it doesn't work and there are no downloads to update it.
I've tried using the Sampo DVD codes (the Tangent is a rebranded Sampo DVB-V33), but with no joy.

I have emailed OFA UK, but from past experience they are sloooow at replying to emails! Also, as I live in UK I don't want to spend UK£0.50 per min on their helpline!!!

Any help will be appreciated.

That Tangent/Sampo model should respond to One-for-All DVD device code 1320.

Unfortunately, I doubt very much if that particular code is pre-loaded in the URC-8206, so it looks like you are stuck with calling the OFA helpline for a telephone download. Or alternatively, use the learning feature to teach your Kameleon just the basic functions of the Tangent DVD player.

Spookily enough, after I posted my query I came up with the same idea to use the learning feature!!
It takes an age to program all features, but at least I can use the OFA on all devices!!
