I am looking for help finding a good choice for a simple but effective universal remote that can replace the remote for the boston acoustic avidea 610 system, as well as a motorola DCT-6412 cable box......id like it to have all hard buttons and be simple to use.....anyone have any suggestions?.....dont want to spend crazy money on it either....thanks

Wow, that's quite a tall order -- two combo units (Receiver/DVD and Cable/PVR). Not sure you are going to find anything that will work perfectly right out of the box. My recommendation would be to start with a remote like the One-for-All URC6131 that has a basic key layout suitable for the DVR (e.g. includes keys like instant replay) and then get it upgraded via OFA customer service if the codes pre-programmed in it don't operate your equipment 100%. And after that if you want to try a little more customization yourself, look into the JP1 group over at www.hifi-remote.com.
