I have an Onkyo DVD player that works on device code 0627 but can't find any advance codes. Does anybody know where I can get them?

I have a big library of downloaded CCF files. I just did an extract of all DVD/0627 commands from all files in that library. I sorted that by EFC number and pasted it below.

I don't have a good tool for removing duplicates (I ought to write one), so the number of times each command appears in the following list is roughly the number of different files that included that command. When a command appears few times (or just once like the discrete on and off), I don't know whether that means most models don't take that command or most people making CCF files chose not to include it, or didn't discover it.

Also note that names with a ` mark, such as `Scan_Forward in the list below mean the names used a special character that I can't duplicate in place of ordinary text. Where I know the conventional meaning of that character my program has inserted that meaning. So all of `Scan_Forward actually means a single special character that in many CCF files (not necessarily these) means Scan Forward.

It would be helpful if you post results back here: What model do you have; which of these advanced codes worked; and what is the real function of some that have wrong or undescriptive names below?

Hey John,

Thank You so much. But where can I find the CCF's? I actually needed this info for the building of my first TU3000 configuration.

Here are URL's for all the CCF files I've downloaded that include IR signals in this code set.

The last CCF has just two signals in this code set and has them associated with a Panasonic device that pretty clearly doesn't use those signals, so I assume the author of that CCF made a mistake.

The second to last claims to include a Panasonic DVD but has a pretty full set of functions for this Onkyo DVD (with most functions using the internal database entries licensed from UEI's DVD/0627). I don't know if Panasonic put their brand name on this non Panasonic device or if that CCF author made a mistake.

I thought I had a nearly complete set of downloads of DVD player data from the CCF collection at RC. But I just now noticed that the list of Onkyo DVD players is quite large and I only have a few that use this code set and none at all that don't.

I'm not sure whether there are any Onkyo DVD players that don't use this code set.

So if you're still looking for functions after the CCFs I mentioned, almost any other one from [Link: remotecentral.com] is a good candidate.

Thanks so much John this will help alot. I actually really liked my Kameleon 8 but as my system got more complicated the harder it was to remember where I put some of the codes and not to mention how confused the family got everytime I would change something. So I elected to "upgrade" to the Pronto 3000 so that I could make it easier for everyone else. But programming it is really a job. I sure some more questions will arise.
