They added code 1159,
Unfortunately, I can't find any info on that one. Once you get your JP1 cable, be sure to do an initial "download from remote" and save that to an .ir file to preserve your copy of 1159.
and it came with code 752.
I don't know what you mean by that. Typo for 782?
Searching, I could find codes that turned off
and on, and some that controlled functions (although
on the wrong key).
I don't know what you mean by "searching". If you can tell us the setup code number and key for each key that does anything, and tells us what it does, we can help you figure out the whole code set.
If you used the remote's search process to find those on/off functions, then you can use its blink back process to find the setup code it found (though doing that via JP1 cable is much simpler).
Maybe I can figure out what
codes go where and make my own, but that sound
difficult. I just ordered a JP1 cable,
You can use KeyMoves to piece together a partially working setup from any combination of keys from any combination of setup codes. I forget whether the 6131 is like most OFA models that can do so without JP1 or if it is one of the few that need JP1 for simple KeyMoves.
But we can do much better than that if you tell us which setup_code/key does what. We have outside sources of data that can be used together with that info.
