Hi,

I recently purchased several 6131's - great little remote. I was able to program all of my devices including my Sony DAV-S300 home theater "in a box". All the functions for all the devices work fine except for one; the "sleep" for the DAV-S300. I have been looking at information about Advanced Codes, JP1, etc. and I don’t seem to be able to get a handle on it.

Rather than rehash information on these subjects, I just need someone to tell me what direction will work. Or will nothing work? Then at least I’ll know where to focus.

Thanks,

Ken

Since the setup code you're using for the dream system, AUD1658, doesn't accept advanced codes, you're only left with jp1. The jp1forum is here.

edmund,

Are you implying that there are some setup codes that will accept advanced codes for the 6131?

Thanks,

Ken

Sure, many. But none that'll control your dream system. Your lucky to have a code at all, seeing no other universal remote as a code for dream sysems.

edmund,

Since I am only using 3 of the device buttons, is it possible to assign a Setup Code that does take Advanced Code to one of the free buttons. Then assign the Advanced Code for the “sleep” function for the DAV-S300 to a key under that device button. So when I need to use the “sleep” function I just switch to that device. Does that make any sense?

Thanks,

Ken

No, it will not work. If this command is on the oem remote, then you need a learning remote, and one that is upgradeable. Like the ofa urc-8910, have it ugraded with setup code AUD 1658, then learn the sleep command from the original remote.
