Hi guys:
I'm not very familiar with the One for all but read an old post that leed me to think it may be a possible soultion for me.
I need an inexpensive remote that I can teach some generic sony commands. By generic I mean I have an industrial control device programmed to read Sony SIRCS 12 bit commands. I set the device number and it can be 1-20. It can be uncommon Sony devices like #5 so they won't be in a canned database.
I need to be able to program the remote by device number and by code. I need enought o program about 50 commands.
Does anyone know of a remote that can do this without jumping through hoops?
Thanks, S2

Probably your best bet is to get an inexpensive programmable One-for-All and then use the JP1 tool set to create a code on your PC and load into the remote (or codes -- to get 50 command keys you may need to ceate more than one "device") . Go check out the JP1 forum at www.hifi-remote.com to get an idea of what tools are available.
