Hi,

I have URC9960 and have Yamaha reciever. Code 0176 works OK and only a handful of advanced codes can be programed. After programing seven advanced codes I get a long flash and remote does not want to accept any additional advance codes. I do not get two flashes. Is my memory full and I cannot add any advanced codes? Any help in adding the advanced codes will be appreciated.

Yogesh,
OFA remotes have a (limited) learning memory, and a separate allocation of keymove and macro memory. The advanced codes go in the keymove category. Both of these areas of memory are shared between devices, so if you place advanced codes on many different devices, you still use the same memory. The amount of available memory is small, so you should try to start with a setup code that has as many functions as possible, so that you have fewer to add by learning or keymoves.

To add more function to your remote the way it is, you could try learning the signals from the original remote (if you have it). This would go to a different area and may get you a few more signals.

If you have a lot of complicated devices or a need for a lot of advanced codes/keymoves, you may want to consider jp1, which allows for much more flexibility by using the upgrade memory (separate from the learning or keymove/macro) and installing an upgrade that you have built that includes all of your keymoves.
