Has anyone removed the motion sensor from the Kameleons? If so, is it difficult? It sounds like a good remote if it didn't eat batteries.

Got it! It was simple to do on the Radio Shack 6 in 1 (15-2133). Remove the screw on the battery door and remove the door. If there are batteries in the remote, remove them. Slice the black plastic area that surrounds the battery door by pulling it off the end of the remote. Remove the four screws on the silver back and slide the back off the same way. The board is now exposed. On my unit, the switch is marked SW-1. It's on the right side of the battery holder in the middle of the board. There is a wire going into one end of the switch. Carefully clip the wire and gently pull up the switch so the wires don't touch. Close up the unit and you're ready to program the remote.

Hi,
after doing this I cannot use the direct Learning function anymore.
I do this:
1. press magic until rabbit pops up 2. press 9 7 5 (indicator flashes twice) 3. press TV and now it fails, the remote (urc8060) just returns to the tv remote function. this happends no matter what function I choose in step 3.
I've tried resetting the remote with code 9 8 1 but this does not help me at all. I can program the remote, but I cannot use direct learning.
any suggestions?
