So, the manual for my Radio Shack 15-2135X 5-in-1 doesn't have the code for my Sungale DVD player (DVD-2002A). I look on the internet and find ONE code for my Sungale DVD: 1074. Thing is, my remote only accepts 3-digit codes. Are there any other ones for Sungale? Can I alter the 4-digit to make a 3-digit?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: are there any consolidated resources for remote control codes?

The 15-2135 remote is not made by UEI, whereas any Radio Shack code that you might have found on the internet is almost certainly for a UEI remote, so it won't work for you.

I'm not sure who makes the 15-2135 so I can't offer any advice, other than get a better remote, sorry.

okay, thanks. I was looking at doing just that, after spending too long looking for a code on the internet.

Question: my family has both a DVD and VCR on the same setup. 3-in-1 remotes don't seem to allow this configuration. Will a 4-in-1 work?

I can't speak for non-UEI remotes as those are the only ones I know about, but if the remote has both DVD and VCR codes onboard, you can indeed use a 3-in-1 to work both your VCR and DVD player, you would simply use the "mode map" feature (ie, command 992) to re-configure a spare device button as a VCR/DVD button.

As it sounds like you're looking for a cheap and simple remote, maybe you should try the Radio Shack 15-2142.
