Hi all.

need some help here, bought one of these OFA URC-7562 from Argos.

I have an old Pioneer Ondigital boxes working ok and a CAT DVA 2050 dvd player,
both are listed in the codes book but they don't work.

so did an upgrade via oneforall.com site.

problem is that the code 0329 works the ondigital box and the code 1814 works the dvd.
i did them upgrade them one at a time as not enough on the bar to do the two at the same sime.

i cannot get the codes in ie

press sat
press magic till 2 blinks
put code in 0392
press sat to confirm
no 2 blinks (single light)

also tried to delete codes but still the same

any help would be appreciated guys

TIA

I'm only guessing at what you mean by that. But that sounds like the problem.

When you do an upgrade by .wav file it replaces all previous upgrades. So you can't load two upgrades one at a time. You must load them together.

Two upgrades couldn't be too much to fit in the upgrade memory at the same time, so I don't understand what is stopping you from loading them together.

thanks johnsfine for the reply

but when i select Pioneer from sat rcvrs the % bar goes to 84% then i select CAT from the dvd it jumps upto 138%.

hence the reason for trying to do it 1 at a time, don't know if there is a workaround if not the Remote is usless...

even if i just programmed one i still cant get the code to work.

see my first post...

I've never used that web site. But it sounds like selecting Pioneer sat rcvrs or CAT dvd represent groups of setup codes. If you know the right inidivual setup code there ought to be a way to select that.

Remote is usless...

It's a lot more flexible programming the remote yourself with a JP1 cable than downloading a .wav upgrade.

It is also possible to create the .wav upgrade yourself using JP1 software (to avoid needing the cable) and loading that. But that method is harder to learn.

even if i just programmed one i still cant get
the code to work.

I didn't understand you meant you couldn't get the one you loaded last. I assumed you just meant you couldn't get the one you loaded first.

One possibility is that the device type of the key was changed at some point (via the 992 command) and needs to be reset in order to take a setup code of the default type. To reset SAT:

press magic till 2 blinks
put code in 992
press sat twice

That must be done before trying to program the 0392 code (if SAT had the wrong type before).

did what you said john reset the SAT, but when trying to input the 0392 code it doesn't blink twice to accept.

none of the 6 buttons will accept any code as it does not blink twice after inputting the codes for TV etc.

thanks again john

Maybe you should try a 981 reset to clear all and start from a clean slate.

When you do an internet upgrade the website chooses a selction of codes for you from your chosen brand, so sometimes a combination of two selections can be too much for the memory. As you actually know the exact codes you need, simply ring customer service and ask them to upgrade these two codes, and they will be able to download both at the same time.

Hope this helps!
