I have had the URC 9962 for about a month and I have been pleased with it. However, the other day the remote stopped working - buttons did not light up and did not work any of my components. So I replaced the batteries. The buttons do light up now but they still do not work. Has the remote lost all my codes? I was under the impression that changing the batteries will not lose the settings. Do I need to reprogram everything or do I have a defective unit that I should exchange? Any help would be apprecieated.

Vee,
Try removing the batteries and pressing some Buttons with the batteries off.
This helps to discharge the unit.
After about 5 minutes, re-insert the batteries and retry using the remote. Hope this helps.
