Hi!
I'm new here and i have a problem. Did buy a URC-8550 today and can't get it to work with my DVD player and my TV.
I have a Thomson 44RW67ES TV with remote rct4130s (multi product)
and a Yamaha DVD-s700 DVD.
I have tried everything... uppgrading trough Internet and so on..no succes at all. Did try ALL codes, nothing work. So my only hope is you guys. Can my remote learn from other remotes? And if it can..HOW??

The manual (available online), mentions no learning function. Because you have the modem upgrade feature, you may be able to make use of the .wav upgrade creator in the jp1 software.

Did try that to but no succes :( I do exactly as the manual says... the back of the remote agaist the speaker, start the wav and whait for the word "succes" in the LCD...but it never works. I can't do a uppgrade at all. Beginning to get realy disapointed now.
And for that matter.... in the Wav option i have to choose from 4 different files. Witch one is the right one???

Never mind...im returning it to the store tomorrow. I'm realise now that URC-8550 is not what i wanted. Thanks anyway.
