Hi all,

I need to add code 0625 to my 9960, but I haven't found it so far. Does anyone know where I can find this either as a .wav or as a JP1 type file? I know this code exists in newer European models (ie Mosaic) so I would have thought there would be a way to get this uploaded to the 9960?

Any thoughts?

I should also add that this is for a CD player/amplifier made by Audio Innovations

That is the same as the YBA CD player in this CCF

and the Cambridge Audio CD Player in this CCF

so I have plenty of data from which to create a JP1 upgrade, but don't have time at the moment. If you know how to use JP1 software, you could do it yourself (starting with DecodeCCF). Otherwise, I might have time later or Rob or one of the other experts might.

Many thanks for the response. I don't have a JP1 cable, but is it possible to use these files to create a .wav which I could attempt to upgrade with? Is there a link you could suggest with some procedures for doing this?

You don't need the cable and the software is free.

I've given rough descriptions of the process a few times in this forum.

Since that involves downloading the program IrToWav and nothing else here requires that program, I suspect a forum search for "IrToWav" would find most of those discussions and not much else. But I haven't tried that search to make sure.

You also can probably find discussions of DecodeCCF here (which you need if starting from a CCF rather than from an existing JP1 upgrade).

You also need the basic JP1 help files and probably you should use the RemoteMaster program instead of KM. There is a document for RemoteMaster that effectively replaces the KM specific parts of the JP1 documentation. All of that should be pretty easy to find in the JP1 forum.

There really ought to be a single document to walk a non JP1 user all the way through the .wav process, but I don't have time to write it.

Here's the upgrade. Maybe John can convert it into a WAV file if you can't.

Upgrade Code 0 = 42 71 (CD/0625) CD/0625 (KM v8.31)
5A 00 BE FE 0C E1 20 DE 4D B7 6F 47 07 4F 67 27
77 57 17 A7 8F F7 37 0F AF 87 97 2F FF 5F BF DF
9F 3F 7F A7 8F
End
Rob.

As long as Rob did most of the work, I did the rest. Here is the .wav file:

You still might want to run DecodeCCF on those CCF files to find EFC numbers for any functions missing from the basic upgrade.

I expect Rob took the URC-8060 key layout for CD/0625 and transformed it into a URC-9960 key layout. I have no idea how much judgement and/or device (the CD itself) specific knowledge that process takes nor how much Rob applied. If you don't like the resulting key layout, I expect you can get Rob's KM file so you'd only need to redo part of the work to rearrange keys.

Actually, I used DecodeCCF against both CCF files in order to create that upgrade.
