Ok, one more question. I have a Sony STR-K740P surround stereo, using device code 1758 (only one that worked). The only control I have is on/off and volume. Anyone have any advanced codes for this?

You need to change the command mode on the receiver and remote. Click here to learn how to change your Sony receiver (and its remote) to AV1 (or AV2) Command Mode

When you do this, you should be able to use code 0158 so you can have access to advanced/discrete codes.

Nope, setup code 1758 doesn't accept advanced codes. But you were to change the codeset your receiver responds to, then it would use code 0158, and there are plenty of advanced codes for that setup code. To change your receiver frrom AV2 to AV1 mode check this thread.
