I am trying to get this "one for al"l to work with my Samsung SIR T-351. So far I have not succeeded. And by the way, I do not have the original Samsung Remote which costs around $50.00 to replace.
1. When I enter a 4 digit set up code as found in the instructions. Does the function button choice I select matter? Or are all 4 digit set up codes mapped to all function buttons ?
For example which function button would I select for "Video Accessories" as per the instructions?
2.The back of my unit has URC-8810B00 on it. Is it the same as URC-8811 ?
3. I went to
www.hifi-remote.com and got info for "EFC" codes which were found to work with the Samsung-T150 which is similar to my STB.
4. How do I implement these codes ? The directions are following:
a. Press the device key.
b. Press SETUP(don't hold it)
c. Enter the 3 digit code
d. Check for a response from your equipment
e. (Holding the final digit down is the same as holding the actual button down)
5. Can I select any device key as in "a" above ?
6. Do I have to first enter some 3 digit code to get my Samsung to recognise the "EFC" codes ? Or is it as simple as the directions show.
7. In any case I can not get the Samsung to respond to the URC-8811 at all. Maybe the EFC's I found are good for other models of SAMSUNG set top boxes but not my model.
