Hi,

I'm looking for discrete power codes for a Toshiba SD-1600 DVD player (setup code 0503 on my OFA-6131).

I found the hifi-remote page ([Link: hifi-remote.com]) for this DVD setup code, but it doesn't list any discrete on/off codes. Does anyone know where I can find them?

Thanks very much,

Squighound

S,
Toshiba is one of the brands notorious for not having many if any discrete codes. Usually people with Toshiba products end up using a workaround like ToadTog or other methods. I don't own this DVD player, but have heard that sometimes pressing play from the power off state will turn a unit on. You may try this and various other commands.

"ToadTog" is a Special Protocol available for use by JP1 users. If you are a JP1 user you can download it from here:

If you are not a jp1 user, sometimes a workaround can be found. For example, if pressing Play on a unit that is turned OFF turns the unit ON, then:
ON=
Play
Stop

OFF=
Play
Stop
Power

See?
