JP1 question. I'm trying to build a cable but I can't find what the pin-out should be from the remote contriol 6 pin header to my 9 pin connector on my computer. Can someone help? I have a RCU810B remote (I have already soldered a header onto the PCB). A schematic would be very useful or even a from-to list.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this either. MAybe someone could clue me in.

Thanks,
Al

What JP1 interface are you building? That 9-pin connector is likely a serial port, so it won't work with the standard JP1 Simple interface, which requires the parallel port.

Ok. sorry about the wrong forum. I wasn't aware that there was more than one JP1 interface , I thought it was some sort of standard. I'm building one for my RCU810B remote control to connect ot my PC.

I'll post the question on the correct forum unless you have the information.

Thanks for your help.
