Hi Rob. I tried to program my 15-2116 with advance codes last night as I still had the instructions printed off from my 15-1994 but the steps have changed. Where can I find new instructions? Also I currently use plug and play or X-10 components under 167 on my 15-1994. I tried to enter 167 under CD on the 15-2116 but it would not take. I thought X-10 was just a CD code. Can I not use the 15-2116 for X-10? Also, does the 2116 have more or less learning and advanced code memory than the 1994? Thanks so much.

I thought X-10 was just a CD code.

The 15-2116 and other LCD models break the device types into a larger number of choices than non LCD and don't tie them as directly to device keys. You need to select exactly the right device type. I forget the exact name for the "home automation" device type in a 2116. Hopefully it will be obvious when you scroll through the choices.

does the 2116 have
more or less learning and advanced code memory
than the 1994?

Close to the same. The 2116 has 12% less advanced code memory and one tenth of one percent less learning memory than the 15-1994.
