I have tried to set up a macro function to use the AUX key to turn on/off several pieces of equipment but every time I try to set up the macro using the AUX key I get the message INVALID...if i use any of the numeric keys to create the macro it works but I really want to use the AUX key. Any help would be appreciated.

You can not put a macro or a command on any device key on any OFA remote without jp1.

Edmund...you seem to be quite knowledgeable concerning the RS 15-2116 remote control. I just purchased one to operate my Pioneer VSX-D509S DTS Receiver. It seems that the Audio code of 1023 works for turning it off and on, but I haven't figured out how to access the speaker settings for initial receiver setup. Which key on the 15-2116 corresponds to the RCVR key on the original remote from Pioneer? I did see your remarks on using AMP 0013 codes but unsure of how to use both AMP and RCVR codes to handle all the functional areas of my Pioneer. HELP! If possible could you call me direct at (407) 222-3092? I would appreciate the help.

First, any device key can be programmed to be any type of device. It really doesn't matter. Let's make the AUDIO key RCVR 1023 and AUX key AMP0013. On my pioneer receiver, all I need to switch settings is the cursor pad, lets get you the UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT commands for now. For the UP command:

1. press AUX(amp0013)
2. press and hold P
3. press the DOWN cursor key until you get to KEYMOVER
4. press SELECT
5. press AUX
6. tap P for one blink
7. enter 1-8-9
8. press SELECT
9. press AUDIO device key(RVCR1023)
10. press the UP CURSOR key

Now repeat but substitute 189 & UP in steps #7 & #10 for:

193 & DOWN, repeat:

195 & LEFT, repeat:

191 & RIGHT
