I am in need of a remote to control the following items

RCA TV
Apex 1201 DVD player
Sony HTDDW750 HTiB
Dish Network 522 sat recvr/DVR

Was asked to ask about an OFA remote and a "jp1" cable
any help would be appreciated :)

budget is important as I have a little remote destroying child (or else I would lookinto the cheap sony learning remotes)

I would get the JP1 modified URC-6131, from Rob, check over at the JP1 Forum. First try the built-in codes:

Rca Tv-TV0047

Sony Stereo- AUD0158, only after you change the receiver to AV1 mode, see this thread.

Dish receiver- SAT0755, only if its set to address 1.

Apex DVD, there are 8 apex dvd codes in the 6131.

The Robman, sorry, i thought you wanted me to post this question in the OFA forum, so I did.

I will check out the URC-6131 with the jp1 upgrade.

any place you guys recomend buying the remote w/upgrade?

Surfremotes are very trustworthy, but the modified remotes they sell, come from the Robman. His price is $24.

Actually, the URC-6131 is just $23 plus $4 shipping, and I can include a JP1 cable for $15. More info...
