I initially believed the misleading info about remotes in Apex's FAQ at
[Link: apexdigitalinc.com]

I'm pretty sure that's the same Apex.

Somehow I overlooked all the Apex TV upgrades in the JP1 group and saw a total lack of Apex TV data in all the other usual places.

There are upgrades for several different Apex TV models in the JP1 group and every one of them matches the Toshiba code Edmund suggested. (Which is in almost every other brand of universal remote as well, listed as Toshiba TV, of course, not as 0156).

I wonder why Apex wanted to be misleading about universal remote controls in their FAQ rather than ignore that topic entirely as most TV manufacturer FAQs do.

The G series of Apex Tv won't respond to TV 0156, they might be refering to it.

The G series is distinct from the GT series?

I just double checked those upgrades and saw something I missed before. The GT-2015 upgrades use the Toshiba protocol that I thought all the Apex TV upgrades used. But the upgrade marked "APEX GT series TV" uses an Aiwa protocol that's totally different. That one is TV/0748 in the 15-2133, the urc-6131 and the urc-9960 but isn't in the 8810 (unless you add it via JP1).

I don't know if's G or GT? Just whenever the toshiba code doesn't work, it's a model that starts with G.
