I have a new URC-7562 and can't get any of the Marantz audio device codes to work for me.

The audio equipment is Marantz model TA-70 (around 1985 integrated model PM-70 Amp and model ST-70 tuner - one of the first models to have infra-red remote control).

I no longer have the original remote.

Does anyone have any code that works with these models?

Thanks

The Marantz A/V recievers typically need 2 setup codes in UEIC (URC and some RS) remotes in order to achieve all functions. With my SR-5300, I need to use the AMP 0189 and 0269 codes. The number buttons usually hold the device selections, and are a better indicator than Power of whether the code is correct. Try these two codes and, with the amp turned on, try the number buttons to see if they select an input. If either of these codes work for even a couple of commands, that will be a start.

I have an old OFA 8080 that still works great in my bedroom system. I use an older PHILLIPS Model FR-930 (circa 1991/2) prologic receiver. I've checked here: [Link: hifi-remote.com]. The code doesn't do everything, but it can turn on, off (both discrete on the 930), and volume change with the AMP 0269 code.

Phil,
This is typically the case. I started with an 8080 and a Marantz SR66 rec. Try putting code 0189 on TUN device and see if the number buttons work for the input selection. As I recall, that worked for me.
