does anyone know if this remote can be programmed to control my new phillips tivo and if so what is the code? thanx

The URC-9800 is too old to have the Tivo code built in. The code, which is VCR/0618, can be added if you send the remote in to One For All and ask them to add it. Or, you can buy a JP1 cable and add the code yourself.
