The STR-DB790 should work with the standard Sony receiver code.
As I stated in my receiver thread
[Link: remotecentral.com]the procedure for changing to AV1 was reported by a user, because there is absolutely nothing in the manual about changing the receiver to AV1. It does give instructions for the remote, though, so it must have the capability.
Did you use the procedure in my receiver thread, or did you find a procedure somewhere else? I am trying to get my thread as factual as possible, so I would appreciate any information you can give.
Normally, I would suggest learning everything from the original remote, but you probably don’t have enough learning capacity and would have to go to JP1.
The code list for the 7562 shows codes 0158 and 0415 for a Sony Receiver. Have you tried both of them?
