I just purchased a Kameleon 6 device Uni Remote from RadioShack and am having problems programming it. I like the way it looks and feels and if I can get it to work with my stuff, great. Here's what I need it to work with:
Goldstar DVD/VCR Combo
Sony Audio Receiver
BenQ projector (PB6100)
I used the codes in the booklet and even called the customer service and they downloaded some codes through the phone and I still cant get this thing to work fully. Will appreciate any help I can get. If not, I'm gonna have to return this thing.

See if your model of sony receiver is here, once you change your receiver to AV1 mode,the preset codes will work. The other components, call customer service and see if they have setup codes for downloading over the phone.

Alright, I got the receiver working. But I still can't get the DVD/Vcr combo to work. Actually when I click VCR, it picks up the DVD as well... but all I can do is 'play' or 'ff' or 'rew'. I cant make it to work on the 'DVD' mode or get the menu on or anything. I tried making it learn from the BenQ's original remote without any success.

Wow... I never thought this will be so tough. I gave up on the Kameleon and went and exchanged it for a Radio Shack Model: 15-2103 and guess what ?!? I still have the same problem. I can turn the Goldstar DVD/VCR Combo on and off. I can forward/rewind. But on VCR mode, I can't flip through channels. This is important coz I am using my VCR's tv tuner with the projector. And in DVD mode, I can't navigate through the DVD menu. All I can do is 'play'. And also, I couldnt get the Sony Receiver to work. I could at least get it to work on the Kameleon. Is there a Remote that anybody knows for sure that will resolve my issue. Also something that will work the Projector: BenQ PB 6100.

You don't mention in any of your posts which setup codes you are using for these devices. Using the 15-2103 you should be able to use either 0158 or 1058 to control the Sony receiver (when set to AV1).
I don't have any information on Goldstar VCR/DVD players and I can't research your case because you don't mention either the model number of your player or the setup code that you've found that partially works.
As for the BenQ, you would need an upgrade to work that and the 15-2103 isn't upgradeable (unlike the 15-2133).
