this may seem like a stupid question, but, has anyone ever tried vacume sealing a remote and bringing it in or near a pool

There is a jp-1 capable waterproof remote made by UEI for a spa company, see it here http://www.balboa-instruments.com.

I have a couple of these and I would sell one if you are interested. Send me an email if you want one.

thanx for the info, its a much better idea than mine for sure, but, i already have a urc9911 and was just sort of thinking out loud of different ways to use it safely around the pool and maybee in the shower. thanx for the idea.

Does anyone here know how the dolphin remote actually gains conrtol of the spa features? How do you install it? I am hoping it is RF so I dont have to drill any holes in the tub for some IR receiver. (yikes)

Also, about how much are they going for these days?
