I've used the RS control on my Kenwood vr309 (works for vr307,and vr357 too)- had to learn most of the codes, since the device code isn't supported. I was going to upgrade to a Kenwood VR3080. It's supposed to have a picky, touchscreen remote that doesn't learn.
Anyone try using a Cinema 6/7 (15-1994) w/ a Kenwood VR3100, Vr3090, or Vr3080? Is this line of Kenwood receivers the class of receivers that use the proprietary high frequency that isn't supported by inexpensive remotes?
Hope I don't have to give up my 15-1994 in lieu of a Kenwood remote, even if it LCD touchscreen.
